Baton Rouge invades!

Auntie Mary and her girls came to visit from Baton Rouge. We hadn't seen the girls in a long time and it was great to see them. Of course they are all taller than me, but who isn't?

Only one missing is Carmen! Otherwise, this is Grandma Yo and her kids.

Moe and Jaylyn

I just don't know why my neck does that. It's weird, I know.  Mikey was sleeping, it was just too much excitement for him.

Yes, Erica was still here!  Kidding. It was Erica and Kolby's last night before they went back to Califas.  Hope you guys had fun!

Rohnny, Chantae and Cameron.

Doogie and Ivan. I guess they are besties now. You guys are so whatever!

Look at the two nerds in the back!

Norma!

I think Hector is surprised!

Eric, Eltrece and their crew.

Isaiah enjoying the swing!

Uh oh. Maybe he was scared.

Adrian, Kellie and Isaiah

Andrew...it was a little cold out!

And wet...Here's Nathan almost completely soaked!

This was the "nice" picture

"Crazy" pic.

A couple more "nice" pics.  Poor Mikey, he was in the middle of it all!

Water World, Day 2

A.J. and Nathan both have July birthdays so we went again the very next day for A.J.'s party.

Mikey sleeping on our way to Water World.  This nap didn't last very long. They never do these days.

We were a little more low key this day and just let Mikey relax. It's what he likes best.

First trip to Water World!

The weather was super nice all week and then it got a little chilly on Saturday for Nathan's party at Water World. Here's Mikey and mommy. See Erica in the back! Hey Erica!! Please excuse my hair. I call it "savage". Really, it should be called "lazy".

Here's Mikey's first official dunk into the water.  It was freezing and he HATED it!

His eyes are swollen from crying ; (

Isaiah did a little better but it was still very cold!  And even injured, Adrian still managed to get in the water.

Isaiah wanted Grandma Yolanda to take him back to some warmth.

Nathan loving his "Transformer" cupcakes.

Nathan and Jasena getting off the Screaming Mimi.  After all these years I've still never been on that thing. It looks too scary.

Adrian and Mom.  We had to tend to him all day.

New Stroller!

We decided it was time for Mikey to have a big boy stroller and upgrade from his car seat.  He pretty much loved it.  We took him for a spin around the block and he talked the entire way!

Do you see him holding on with one hand? It's pretty much his new thing.  He does it in the stroller, in his car seat and even his bathtub.  I swear we've never dropped him so I'm not sure why he's holding on!

Breaking in the High Chair.

We finally get to try Mikey out in his way cool highchair. This was a present from his great grandma Mercedes.

While he was in his highchair, I thought I would have him try carrots. It's blurry but now you too can see his love for solids.

Maybe it's not so bad, huh?

Grand Lake

The family got together and headed up to Grand Lake. Mikey was not happy in the coffee shop. You can see Marisela in the background. Her and Shayla were playing checkers. I need to take better pictures.

Mattie and Jen with Mikey Jr. Mattie loves Michael!

Isaiah enjoying a little snack while relaxing in his stroller.

Leyla posing for the camera. Love the purple Nike's.

All the kids got into the arts and crafts. Nathan and Kolby. Kolby and his mommy Erica are visiting us from California.

Shayla and Macey. Cheese!

Mattie giving Mikey a lil kiss on the head. She loves him! Can I say that Jen and I had fabulous little martini's at this restaurant? I had a Key Lime Pie martini and she had Caramel Apple. Mmmmmmm....

Mattie and Mikey Jr.

Trip to the Park

I had a day off so Mikey and I decided to go to the park. Mikey likes being outside, especially with a little breeze! Unfortunately, there was none of that.

On our way to the park, we picked up cousin AJ. He was a big help and pushed Mikey's stroller for me when Mikey fell asleep and I carried him. He showed me the shortcut home. This is the best picture I got of him.
