I'm 30!

I considered our trip to Maui to be my 30th birthday present. Mike decided that I needed a little party. Here I am posing with my delicious cake.

Leila enjoying her cake. She kept saying it was her birthday.

Hector, Darlene & Paula. They had already got the party started before they arrived. Hector kept ordering me shots and giving them disgusting (but funny) names.

Adrian, Kellie & the boys

Danny & Yolanda

Mikey and Nina

AJ & Nathan

Thanks everybody! What a great way to turn Flirty Thirty.

Maui 2009

This was the morning we left for Maui. Mikey was watching cartoons while we finished getting ready.

Here he is all bundled up at the terminal. It was cold here so we were very excited to get to a warmer climate.

Nate was made a TSA Junior officer

Here is Mikey right before we got ready to board. This is the last picture I took until the next morning. My worse fears came completely true and Mikey was a terror on the place. We were "those" people with the screaming child. Ahhh!!! He just looks innocent folks.

Our first morning in Maui, Mikey still had to wear Bronco gear even in Maui.

Here's Mike watching the Broncos while Mikey napped. I'm glad they won, it might have put a damper on his trip!

Isaiah wasn't sure what to make of the huge shrimp at Bubba Gumps. Would this be considered a prawn? Hmmmm...

Nate hanging out in the huge Banyan tree.

Kellie and Isaiah posing on the beach.

Adrian trying to look cool.

Nate loved the beach. It was like fish finding it's home.

Here's Mikey taking one of many naps on the trip. We swear he was going through a growth spurt on this trip.

Waking up very happy from his nap.

Toes!

Grandma Yolanda and just a few of her great grandkids.

The Nevarez boys

Mikey and Auntie Kellie

It's not always easy to get a picture of all three boys.

Isaiah and Mikey just chillin at the beach. They are only 6 months apart. Can you imagine them when they are older?

Beautiful sunset in Lahaina

This picture is NOT funny. Mikey likes to kick and scream for his naps with mom and dad. But with Grandma Yolanda, all she did was hold him and he fell asleep. Or maybe she put the sleeper hold on him when we weren't looking. Hey, I'm not judging. This woman has a ton of grandkids and great grandkids. She knows what she's doing.

One stop on the Road to Hana.

Stopping at the Twin Falls on the Road to Hana. Please excuse my mom's hair, she had a coconut in her hands and was just too excited.

Hey Grammie!

Adrian and Isaiah

Me and Nate

Nate took this picture of us. Not bad for a 7 year old I say.

Mike and I decided to reenact our Senior Picture moments

I wonder what Isaiah was thinking.

Sr & Jr at the beach.

We wondered how he would like sand. As soon as I sat him in it, he grabbed it and wanted to eat it! It got everywhere!!

Yes, he did it again!!

Nate with cool glasses and the necklace mom bought him.

Kellie contemplating a tattoo. She didn't like what they came up with so she went home inkless!

Isaiah taking a break in a doorway

Mikey taking another nap. Poor baby!

The view from our condo.

Mikey entertaining himself while we got dressed.

He was very amazed by the water.

Footprints

The bar where we enjoyed many drinks and the guys watched many games.

Pictures on the lawn. Too cute!

Already trying to sneak sips of Mommy's drink.

Sr enjoying his Mai Tai.

We didn't get to a luau, but we still got the food. Aloha Mixed Plate is a new fave for us.

The flight from Maui to LAX was a lot better. Mikey and I slept the whole way. I wouldn't say Mike Sr slept as much as he passed out. He had never been in first class and took advantage of the wine refills ; )

Here is Mikey in LAX.

On the flight from LAX to Denver. Again on this flight, we were "those" people with the screaming kid. This time it was his ears but he refused to take a pacifier or bottle.

It was a great trip and Mikey did great considering his age. But we will definitely be waiting a little longer to go on anymore plane trips. Especially flights that are 7 hours long.
