Merry Christmas!

I hope you all had a great Christmas and that Santa brought you everything on your list! We didn't get the big present we are waiting for but we will have to wait until March for that one.

Mike is 35!

Our little Mike is growing up and is 35! Here he is doing his best impression of me. Happy birthday to my baby's daddy!

Slacking

I know that I've been slacking but it's been busy around this time of year. First, here is a belly pic of me in front of the Christmas tree. I think I'm about 24 weeks in this picture and it's not the most flattering. I blame Mike's photo taking skills. Enjoy! I know you love it. Does the tree look small or do I look big? Hmm...

Aries Child/Libra Parent

I found this website that compares the astrology signs of mother's and their babies. Turns out that my son and I completely compatible. He is for sure going to be a Momma's Boy.

http://community.duematernity.com/babyAstrology.php

Here is what is says about us:

When an Aries child is born to a Libra parent, the inherent polarity of the Zodiac is at its best. Aries and Libra are opposite each other in the Zodiac, 180 degrees apart. Thus, this family relationship is compatible. Each Sign possesses what the other lacks.

When combined with Libra's natural harmony, this is a family partnership of great love, companionship, and balance. The polarity of Aries and Libra can be defined as Self versus Other. This child/parent relationship is so whole and complete that these two individuals can often act as one person. Aries and Libra are perfectly complimentary; impulsive versus indecisive, excitable versus peace-loving, leaping versus languid.

***Mike wanted me to point out one coincidence. Teresa and Thad are also a Libra and an Aries. Hmmm....Anyone else think they are completely compatible?***

I'm Growing a Future Soccer Player!

Oh my goodness! Mike and I were watching tv last night when this commercial came on:

When I went to lay down, the baby kicked me really hard! I couldn't stop laughing because I it was the strongest I've felt yet. Mike even had to tell me to stop laughing so he could feel.

Technical Difficulties

Sorry I haven't posted an ultrasound pic but it's not the easiest pictures to get a copy of. I'm trying to mess with the scanner at work so we'll see if I have any luck.

Anyway, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and didn't get too full. I always thought I was going to be able to eat a lot more when I was pregnant but I really didn't. One thing I found out is that the baby likes Vanilla Wafer pudding! Mmm.....

Boy! The ultrasound tech started looking around and the baby showed the goods right away. She even said he wasn't shy! Stay tuned for a picture of the ultrasound.

1 Day

One more day until we find out if our sweet little baby is a boy or a girl! Until then, here is a picture of us on Halloween. Yes baby, we are your parents. No, this isn't how we dress everyday. It was really funny and honestly, Mike looked too real. He must have been a cholo in a previous life. Here's Mike and his ruca!

7 Days

7 days until we find out if we having a Michael Jr or a Nancy Jr. 7 days until we can start shopping and planning colors for the baby's room. 7 days until we need to start thinking of boy or girl names. 7 days until we get another peek at our baby and see that he/she is growing big and strong. According to my stomach I'm thinking the baby should be about 8 pounds already! That or Mike needs to stop brining home his every craving! 7 days until we know whether you guys guessed right.

This is gonna be the longest 7 days ever! I've seen on other blogs where girls have posted pictures of their growing stomachs. Maybe I'll get the guts to do that soon. Or do you all really want to see that?

I Voted!

I went and did early voting yesterday. There was a line but I got through it in about 30 minutes. I hope all of you voted or will vote Tuesday! I felt empowered and good about doing my part.

I spilled the beans about my pregnancy today to my co-workers. I don't know why it's so strange to tell something so personal to people I spend so much time with. Anyway, I didn't really know how to say it so I brought doughnuts. Needless to say, it was a hit and everybody is really excited for us!

29 and feeling fine!

I turned 29 years old on Saturday! I have to say it was different not to throw back a few "adult" beverages. I'm not a big drinker or anything but I do enjoy a cocktail here and there. It's all worth it though. Although Mike was out of town, I got to enjoy dinner at Outback with my family. Mmmm....nothing wrong with Outback. On Sunday, Mike came home and we went to Benihana's with Teresa, Bucky, Shayla and AJ. Now on to planning the big 3-0!
