Dinner and Adventure

Grandma Lourdes took us out to eat at Outdoor World. It was a delicious meal followed by some browsing. If you've never been, it's a really fun place to go for a store. There are so many interesting things to see and do. We don't always know what to do with the boys since Nathan is eight and Isaiah and Mikey are much younger. All three of them had a great time!

Nate did some rock climbing

Never easy to get a picture of all three of them

Nate liked this one

And it was time to go when Isaiah and Mikey started fighting over a shopping basket!

33 weeks pregnant!

In the hopes of capturing some pictures before baby girl makes her appearance, here's me at 33 weeks pregnant! Let's hope there's at least 5-6 more of these.

V-Day!

I know a lot of women say this but I'm not a huge fan of Valentine's Day. It feels really forced. But I've compromised and we usually celebrate with a card and dinner. Perfect! This year I also got some chocolate!

Work Shower and Pot Luck!

I just love me a good pot luck and I was lucky to have my great co workers come together to do a pot luck/baby shower!

I was completely unaware that Ken would be entertaining us all with his awesome balloon making skills! Seriously, he made some amazing things!

Including a way cool hat! I did sort of challenge him with making it really big. He didn't disappoint!

I love cake!

Here's Mikey's monkey in a tree balloon.

He loved the monkey and mommy's hat!

Thank you to all that participated and Kathy for putting it all together. It was a great turn out! Again, we really appreciate the support from everyone.

Family Shower

We had a great time with the family and of course, generous gifts from all. But in true Nancy fashion, I got overwhelmed very quickly and started off doing well with pictures but then quickly got distracted.

Grandpa Bucky and lil Carmen, she was too cute!

Isaiah still taking his power nap before the party. He timed it wrong and the nap overlapped into the party. Total party foul!

Mikey brought his own papas!

Any family occasion includes ALL the family. It was great to have everyone there. Excuse me Jenavi, you're in the shot!

Everything looked so good!

Thank you so much to Yolanda for the cute decor. Little touches and details are my favorite part of any occasion and there were so many. I had to go back and take after pictures of some of the decor.

The favors included yummy treats and personalized candies!

Yolanda also made this cute diaper cake for baby girl. There are so many little goodies tucked inside everywhere. I'm sad to think of when I have to break it down but we need it all! There was a bib that said "Don't mess with me, I have a big brother". Too cute!

My dad and his wife put together this little carriage as well. It was very sweet and thoughtful.

Thank you once again to everyone especially my mom who worked so hard and to Yolanda who did so much as well. It's very much appreciated!

31 down, 9 more to go

I am very much in the home stretch with this pregnancy. I'm feeling a little more worn this time around but I attribute that with having an almost two year old to chase. We are so excited for our little girl to arrive! I'm going to try (again) to update the blog more often being that there will be a lot going on in the next couple months. My baby shower is this weekend, Mikey's turns the big 2 and of course getting ready for our little girl. Stay tuned!

Basketball!

AJ and Nathan are on the same basketball team this year, the Firehawks. It's fun to see Mikey's cousins playing together. It's also fun to see Mikey and Isaiah playing together in the stands. Mikey is very much "monkey see, monkey do" with Isaiah. These two are going to be big trouble when they are older.

Stock Show

We took Mikey to the ground at the stock show. He's really been into trains (choo choos) lately so we wanted to see if he'd try riding on a train without mom and dad.

It started out so well. I was impressed by how he sat with kids he didn't know.

Then it went down hill when the train operator put the seat belt on the kids. For some reason he didn't like that and started to freak out. I always wish I had pictures of these moments but my mom instincts kick in and I wanted to jump the fence and grab him. Oh well, maybe next year.

Snow Days

I had wished for just a little snow around Christmas. Careful what you wish for. We've had plenty of snow since.

Father and son picture. Always a must!

There's a picture of me and Adrian like this when we were kids and I always wanted to have one of my kids the same way. Sitting in the snow!

Mikey really is a great helper

Christmas 2010

And now for the all important Christmas post. Mikey was so fun this year. I got a secret Santa present that I let Mikey open early with me and I told him it was a surprise. It really stuck with him because now anything with a bow is a "prise".

Posing with all the "prises"

Mikey and his fave buddy Carmen.

All the grandkids except for Shayla and our new lil addition coming soon!

Cheese!

This was the cutest present

Mikey woke up the next morning to find all the things Santa left.

Mikey and AJ chillin on the new couch.

Of course Mikey seemed more interested in Carmen's toys

Modeling his new underwear. Hopefully we will be using these very soon.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Visit with Santa!

We joined dozens of other families to wait in line with our beloved child in order to see Santa. The sign said 90 minute wait, I couldn't believe it. I was right, it wasn't 90 minutes. It was three hours! Santa had to work in a break. Mikey did great last year with Santa but I was sure he would scream this year. Mommy was right. Do I know my son or do I know my son?

Amazed with the falling snow

Last few moments before meeting the big guy. I didn't take a picture because I was prepared to be on stand by in case he wanted his mommy. That and I was laughing too hard. I can't take pictures with tears in my eyes.
